We invite you to Nanofiber 2009, the

International Nanofiber Symposium 2009, JAPAN.

Nanofibers have drawn significant attention in many fields including high-performance filter media, composites, textiles, catalysts, electronic and optical devices, drug delivery system, and tissue engineering. Nanofiber technology is one of the fastest growing areas in the material science and engineering fields and requires interdisciplinary backgrounds, such as chemistry, material science, information technology, electronics, environmental technology, and biological technology.
Nanofiber 2009 symposium is expected to provide the opportunity for the persons who are concerned with nanofibers in universities, institutions, and companies to discuss not only fundamental aspects of nanofibers but also industrial applications and safety of nanofibers.

Topics
- Industrial applications of nanofibers
- Cutting-edge research fields of nanofibers
- Safety of nanomaterials

Akihiko Tanioka

Symposium Chair
Professor, Tokyo Institute of Technology
