Crystallization of polymers dominates in every stage of macroscopic design of polymeric materials.
Besides the macroscopic structure control, future appearance of nanometer size composites or blends will open up new possibilities in polymer crystallization. It is also a great academic challenge to resolve the historical problem of chain folding, the molecular mechanism of very long polymers making a remarkable feat of chain-folded crystallization out of entanglements. Science of polymer crystallization has a long history, but still new branches are emerging.
In this INTERNATIONAL SYMPOSIUM ON POLYMER CRYSTALLIZATION, we aim at making integrated cooperative work to contribute to the historical efforts, and also to obtain new perspectives in the new century. We welcome you to join us in this symposium for the new age of polymer crystallization.
The symposium is sponsored by Grant-in-Aid for Science, Priority Area "Mechanism of Polymer Crystallization", from the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology, Japan.
